A wild start to wedding season
We love visiting our local grower and picking some of your wedding flowers ourselves. It’s so inspiring to be in a field full of flowers.
The wedding season has begun
The wedding season has begun, and it’s been a little while since I’ve shared what’s been happening behind the scenes.
Even when things felt quiet at the start of the year, there was so much unfolding… laying the groundwork for the season ahead.
What goes into planning your wedding flowers?
There’s a lot that happens long before we have flowers in our hands.
We’ve been planning the mechanics behind installations and larger-scale designs, mapping out how each piece will come together naturally within its setting. There have been conversations with venues around timings, access, and logistics, making sure everything flows with ease on the day.
January and February were filled with site visits. Measuring spaces. Noticing the light. Understanding the character of each venue so that every design feels like it belongs there.
Alongside that, it’s the quieter details too… sourcing ribbons, candles, and all the small elements that support the vision for your wedding day.
Belgravia in Bloom & Chelsea Flower Show
Some exciting opportunities have been taking shape since the beginning of the year, and we now have a clear view of what the season holds.
This year, we’ll be creating an installation for Belgravia in Bloom and the Chelsea Flower Show, something that has always been a dream of ours to be a part of.
The theme for Belgravia in Bloom is fairytales, which sits so naturally alongside our wild, whimsical and perfectly imperfect style.
As always, we’re approaching it in the same way we do all of our work… foam-free, and using British-grown flowers as much as possible. Creating something that lasts for an entire week in this way comes with its challenges, but that’s part of the process we enjoy.
A lot is happening behind the scenes to make it possible. We’ll be building a team in London to help install and care for the installations across the week.
Working with local growers
Last week was spent visiting our local growers to begin shaping the season ahead.
These relationships are a huge part of how we work. It’s a collaborative process; sharing ideas, discussing colour schemes, flower types, and timings. What’s grown already has your wedding in mind.
Our aim is to design weddings using entirely British-grown flowers wherever possible. It isn’t always the easiest route, but it continues to shape the way we design… more considered, more sustainable, more connected to the season, and more reflective of the landscape around us.
2027 weddings
We’re currently deep in consultations and bookings for 2027 weddings.
I feel incredibly lucky to work with couples who trust the process and care deeply about how their day feels, not just how it looks. The ideas we’re starting to explore for 2027 are already full of character, and no two are ever the same.
That’s always the goal… to create something that feels entirely your own.
Thank you
Thank you for following along. There’s so much I’m looking forward to sharing as the season unfolds.
