What we've been up to lately: wild installations, coastal shoots & new bouquet preservation frames
The use of pots to display individual flower types to look as if they were part of the gardens of Egton Manor, Yorkshire
Summer has been full of characterful moments behind the scenes, beautiful weddings, big flower installations, and exciting updates in the studio. From designing floral columns for a countryside church wedding, to adapting our bouquet preservation frames to be even better, we’ve been extremely busy this summer and deep in the kind of work that reminds us why we love what we do.
Here’s a little peek at what we’ve been working on lately, from North Yorkshire weddings to styled shoots by the sea.
Grounded, wild and characterful installations
We’ve been working on some of our favourite large-scale pieces to date this season. Think sculptural floral columns, show-stopper urns, and a grounded archway that felt like it had grown there on its own.
Every flower and piece of foliage in these floral columns is British-grown. And it’s completely sustainable and foam-free.

100% British-grown flowers
Every stem we’ve used for the past few weddings has been 100% British grown, and we continue to work like this going forward. This may sound easy, but finding a British grower that can source the volume of flowers required for weddings and to fit my unique style has been challenging. After several years of this being my top priority, I think we’re finally there!

Why use British-grown flowers for your wedding day?
A lot of the flowers I use in my designs that are British-grown just can’t be sourced from wholesalers that import their flowers from overseas. The quality, the characterful unusual stems, the smell (imported flowers often don’t have a scent!) are unbeatable. Using imported flowers just doesn’t fit in with my values, that is to be as natural, sustainable and organic as possible, and I feel this is reflected hugely in my work.
A styled shoot inspired by the English coastline, North Yorkshire
We also took part in a styled shoot inspired by the English coastline, a concept designed by the marvellous and talented wedding planner and designer Freya Croisdale Weddings and wonderfully photographed by Fiona Lewis Photography, which will be featured soon on Love My Dress (watch this space!).
Inspired by the British coastline, Freya wanted to showcase the possibility of getting married on the beach in the UK, followed by a wedding reception at a stunning Yorkshire wedding venue, Egton Manor. Soft blues, butter yellows and natural materials formed the foundation of the design process.
Our floral designs included the use of pots to display single-variety flowers, to look as though they were part of the beautiful gardens at Egton Manor.
Bigger, better frames for bouquet preservation
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been quietly upgrading our bouquet preservation offering. Our new solid wood frames are locally made and now sized to better suit bridal bouquets. We are discontinuing our small frame size, and are offering a large 16” x 20” frame as standard, which is perfect for creating the most stunning piece of art using your bridal bouquet. Many wedding bouquets, especially the natural, wild and whimsical ones we create, deserve more space to breathe, and these larger frames allow your flowers to sit more naturally within the design.
Turnaround times are currently 12–14 weeks during peak season, and we’ve been working hard to make sure every piece is preserved with care and intention.
One of our recent favourites was a bouquet full of wildflowers; we adjusted our usual layout to reflect its natural flow, allowing the preserved piece to honour the original bouquet’s personality. No two are ever the same.

Studio news & Yorkshire weddings ahead
I’m also working on an exciting new studio space here in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, designed to give me the perfect space to create the flowers for weddings and afterwards preserve them.
It’ll be a space for big ideas and quiet moments, and I can’t wait to share more once it’s complete.
We’re so excited for next year’s weddings
In the meantime, amongst all the wonderful weddings we have flowered for so far this year, we have been booking some beautiful weddings for next year at venues like Middleton Lodge, Goldsborough Hall and The Hovels at Harewood and many more. North Yorkshire is full of inspiring places to work, with beautiful gardens, and we’re always excited to bring flowers that feel like they belong.
Designing and creating stunning tablescapes and working with talented stylists to do so is one of my favourite parts of my job.
